The market near Tet has thousands of buffaloes and cows brought in from all over the province. Mr. Nguyen Van Bang - representative of the U market management board said: "The U market at the end of the lunar year always has many buffaloes, cows, trucks from everywhere coming to buy and sell". The market is divided into 2 halves, the outside is where cows are bought and sold, the inside is where buffaloes are bought and sold. Photo: Huy Thu |

Recently, buffaloes and cows have dropped sharply in price, making traders worried. For example, a small cow used to cost 6 million VND, now it is only about 4.5 - 5 million VND. Buffaloes used to cost 10 million VND, now it is only about 6 - 7 million VND. Photo: Huy Thu |

After buying and selling buffaloes and cows, traders often write words on their bodies to mark them and avoid losing them. The animals are tied to carts or electric poles in the middle of the market, waiting to be loaded onto carts or transported to households. Photo: Huy Thu |

Each truck, depending on the type of vehicle and the size of the buffalo or cow, can carry from 5 to 40 animals. Many trucks are designed with 2 racks to carry twice as much. Photo: Huy Thu |

People who trade in buffalo and cows, raise buffalo and fattened cows around U market, each market session can buy 5-7 calves, even dozens of them to raise, waiting for the price... Since the price of buffalo and cows has dropped, people in the trade do not dare to invest, do not dare to "hoard" a lot of goods for fear of losing money. Photo: Huy Thu |
