Suspecting his wife of infidelity, Nguyen Nhan Ai went looking for her and encountered her on her way to work. He stopped her, started an argument, and then pulled out a knife and stabbed his wife, inflicting serious injuries.

On August 27, information from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Vung Liem District Police, Vinh Long Province, indicated that they had initiated a criminal case, charged the suspect, and issued an arrest warrant for Nguyen Nhan Ai (32 years old, residing in Ba Tri town, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province) for the crime of intentionally causing injury.

According to the investigation, Nhan Ai and his wife, Nguyen Thi Be Hai (30 years old), had conflicts and were living separately because Ai suspected his wife of infidelity.

At approximately 7:30 AM on August 17th, Ai returned to Vung Liem town, Vung Liem district, to talk to his wife. When he reached the section of road in Rach Truc hamlet, Vung Liem town, Vung Liem district, he met his sister-in-law, Hai, who was on her way to work.

An argument ensued between them, and Ai pulled out a knife and stabbed his wife multiple times.

Sister Hai was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment by local residents, while Ai turned herself in to the investigating authorities.

Currently, the Vung Liem District Police are still holding Ai in custody for further investigation and processing.
