Suspecting his wife of having an affair, Nguyen Nhan Ai went to find her and met her on her way to work. He stopped her, started a fight, and then pulled out a knife and seriously stabbed his wife.

On August 27, information from the Investigation Police Department of Vung Liem District Police, Vinh Long Province said that they had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and issued an order to temporarily detain Nguyen Nhan Ai (32 years old, residing in Ba Tri town, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province) for intentionally causing injury.

According to the investigation, Nhan Ai and his wife, Nguyen Thi Be Hai (30 years old), had conflicts and lived separately because Ai suspected his wife of having an affair.

At around 7:30 a.m. on August 17, Ai returned to Vung Liem town, Vung Liem district to talk to his wife. When he reached the road in Rach Truc hamlet, Vung Liem town, Vung Liem district, he met his sister Hai on her way to work.

The two sides had an argument, Ai pulled out a knife and stabbed his wife many times.

Sister Hai was taken to the hospital by nearby residents, while Ai surrendered to the police.

Currently, Vung Liem District Police are still detaining Ai for further investigation and handling.
