(Baonghean.vn) - During an argument, fueled by alcohol, Thiet used a pipe to hit his wife on the head. Not stopping there, Thiet continued to strike her head and face multiple times with a hoe, causing her 16% injuries.

On September 22nd, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghi Loc District Police announced that it had issued a decision to initiate a criminal case and prosecute Le Van Thiet (born in 1977), residing in Hamlet 1A, Nghi Kieu Commune, for the crime of "Intentional Infliction of Injury".

Le Van Thiet and his wife, Dao Thi Thom (born in 1983), originally from Nam Dinh province, had conflicts during their marriage. Whenever they argued, Le Van Thiet would often physically abuse his wife.

At 12 PM on September 14th, an argument broke out between Le Van Thiet and Dao Thi Thom. Fueled by alcohol, Thiet's violent temper flared up, and he used a pipe to hit his wife on the head. Not stopping there, Thiet then took a hoe used for harvesting pine resin and repeatedly struck her on the head and face.

Upon learning of the incident, neighbors intervened and took Ms. Thom to the 115 Hospital for emergency treatment. On the morning of September 15th, Ms. Thom filed a report with the Nghi Loc District Police. At 3 PM the same day, Le Van Thiet surrendered to the investigating authorities.

According to the injury assessment, Ms. Thơm sustained 16% injuries. The Nghi Lộc District Police Investigation Agency has decided to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and issue an arrest warrant for Lê Văn Thiết.

The case is currently under further investigation and will be handled in accordance with the law.
