Protect shrimp from heat with shade net

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 29, the Quynh Luu District Agricultural Extension Station released 340,000 white-leg shrimp in a pilot pond using a cover net at Mr. Ho Ngoc Thang's household in Hoi Noi area, Quynh Doi commune.

Implementing the fishery extension model, the Agricultural Extension Station of Quynh Luu district selected Mr. Ho Ngoc Thang's household in Quynh Doi commune as a pilot to release white-leg shrimp in a net-covered pond with an area of ​​0.3 ha.

The stocking density in the covered pond is 115 shrimp/m2, the shrimp breed is produced by CP Vietnam Joint Stock Company (CP shrimp breed). The expected time from stocking to harvest is 3 months, the shrimp reach the size of 60-70 shrimp/kg. The pilot model of shrimp farming in the covered pond is supported by the province with 100% of the shrimp breed, and 30% of the feed cost.

Shrimp farming using shade nets helps reduce costs such as: environmental treatment, water fan system treatment, reducing feed waste, helping shrimp increase growth ability, preventing and fighting diseases in shrimp and protecting shrimp from heat.
