Husband sentenced to death for drugs, wife continues to set up new network
(Baonghean.vn) - Although her husband was sentenced to death for drug-related crimes, Tran Thi Chien did not take that as a lesson and continued to commit drug-related crimes and was arrested by the police.
On November 23, 2022, Yen Thanh District Police said they were detaining Tran Thi Chien (born in 1982), residing in Bao Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, for illegal drug trafficking.
Previously, in early October 2022, through the work of grasping the situation, Yen Thanh District Police discovered a drug trafficking ring with a large quantity of drugs, the source of drugs was taken from abroad and then transported to Yen Thanh District and then divided into small pieces for consumption. Faced with the above situation, Yen Thanh District Police promptly reported to the leaders of the Provincial Police to establish a special project to fight and eliminate the above ring.

After a period of synchronous implementation of professional measures, the Special Investigation Committee identified Tran Thi Chien (born in 1982), residing in Bao Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, as the leader of the above line.
During the investigation, the task force encountered many difficulties because Tran Thi Chien used many tricks to deal with the authorities. According to the police, Chien's husband wasdeath sentencefor drug-related crimes.
After a period of persistently following all movements of the subject and collecting all documents and evidence, at about 11:30 a.m. on November 21, 2022, after mobilizing synchronous forces and means, Yen Thanh District Police arrested subject Tran Thi Chien for illegal drug trafficking. The seized evidence included 40 synthetic drug pills.
Conducting an emergency search of the suspect's residence, the Task Force seized 3,500 synthetic drug pills, 16 grams of heroin and 05 grams of crystal meth.
