The homeowner forgot to unplug the fan, causing panic throughout the apartment building as a fire broke out.

At approximately 10:30 AM on April 6th, several residents in Quang Trung ward (Vinh City) noticed black smoke rising from a high-rise apartment in a residential building. Immediately upon discovering the incident, residents contacted the authorities and local government.

At the time of the fire, no one was in the apartment. It is known that the household had a fan with a seized motor. This morning, the homeowner went out without realizing the fan had been switched on. Around 10:00 AM, the fan spontaneously caught fire, sending thick black smoke billowing out the window and being noticed by neighbors. According to Ms. H., a neighbor of the apartment, "It was around 10:00 AM. I was inside my apartment and didn't smell anything or see any smoke. But when I heard my neighbor in the opposite building shouting and yelling 'fire,' I ran out into the hallway and saw black smoke coming from that apartment's door. Immediately, I went back inside and switched off the electricity in my apartment and went downstairs to the first floor. At that time, several people on my floor and in the building also ran up to deal with the fire."

As soon as the incident occurred, many residents also ran down the emergency exits. Fortunately, the fire did not cause significant damage to the property of the family upstairs or the surrounding apartments. However, this also serves as a cautionary lesson for residents living in apartment buildings, especially with the hot season approaching. Failure to carefully check electrical equipment before leaving home can easily lead to fires and cause serious damage.
