Restaurant owner in Nghe An uses Facebook to find customer who left behind 1 billion VND.

According to Mr. Quang, a group of customers came to the restaurant at noon on April 10th. After they left, the staff discovered a black bag on a chair while clearing the table and informed Mr. Quang.

After receiving the information, Mr. Quang verified it through the security camera footage and found out that the bag had been left behind by the group of tourists. However, by then the tourists had left quite a while ago, and there were no documents in the bag, so there was no way to contact them.

After some time passed without the customer returning, he opened the bag to check and was shocked to find a large sum of money inside, estimated at nearly 1 billion VND. He asked his wife, Nguyen Tra Giang, to take a picture and post it on Facebook to find the owner. From that moment on, Mr. Quang didn't dare take his eyes off the bag and sat waiting for someone to come claim it.

"I was sitting there waiting anxiously. At first, I intended to report it to the local authorities, but since it was a public holiday, I didn't call. Besides, it was a large sum of money; anyone who left it behind would be eager to find it, so I believed the owner would return. Therefore, my whole family patiently waited..." - Mr. Quang said.

At 6 PM that same day, the group of customers returned to the restaurant. After checking the security camera footage and confirming that these were indeed the customers who had left the bag behind, Mr. and Mrs. Quang returned the belongings to their owner intact.

Mr. Quang shared: "When they came to pick up the bag, both sides were very happy. The owner found their belongings again, and we were relieved of the worry we had all afternoon. We were also very happy that the large sum of money had returned to its rightful owner. Afterwards, they offered us 3 million VND as a thank you, but my wife and I absolutely refused to accept it. However, they still gave it back as a gift for our staff..."

It is known that the owner of the money is from Hanoi, and after having a meal at the restaurant, he returned to Ninh Binh. After locating where he had left the money, he immediately went back.Nghe Anto receive it back.

Ms. Nguyen Tra Giang, Mr. Quang's wife, shared: "I think that not only our family but anyone in this situation would act like we did. Because if property doesn't belong to you, you must find a way to return it to the owner. That is a virtue and a beautiful tradition of the Vietnamese people throughout history."
