President Tran Dai Quang meets with 60 exemplary Party cell secretaries

The President asked each cadre and party member to uphold the pioneering spirit, cultivate political qualities and ethics, and fight against group interests.

Towards the 87th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2017), the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Central Business Bloc Party Committee, on the afternoon of January 4, at the Presidential Palace, President Tran Dai Quang met with 60 delegates who are exemplary Party Cell Secretaries of the Central Business Bloc Party Committee.

The President requested that each cadre and party member, especially the heads of Party committees, agencies and units in the Party bloc, must uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit, constantly study and practice political qualities, ethics and lifestyle, and resolutely fight against opportunists, group interests and negative manifestations within the Party.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Tran Dai Quang warmly congratulated and commended the results and achievements of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, the Party Committees of corporations, general companies, banks, and units in the Central Enterprises Bloc, especially the grassroots Party organizations, Party cells and exemplary Party cell secretaries who have just been commended by the Party Committee of the Bloc.

The President pointed out that our country is facing opportunities, advantages, difficulties and challenges. If we make good use of the opportunities and overcome the challenges, Vietnam will be able to narrow the development gap with advanced countries.

The President suggested that the Party Committee of the Central Enterprise Bloc, Party Committees, grassroots Party organizations, and Party cells under the Party Committee of the Bloc should continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, the Resolutions of the 4th Conference of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of major guidelines and policies to continue to innovate the growth model, improve growth quality, labor productivity, and economic competitiveness; on strengthening Party building and rectification, preventing and repelling ideological, moral, and lifestyle degradation, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party, in conjunction with the extensive, regular, serious, and effective implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle".

"Comrades, promote the leadership role of Party organizations and bases to focus on leadership and direction more resolutely, in order to effectively implement the task of restructuring enterprises according to the project approved by competent authorities, in which it is necessary to pay attention to solving well the issues related to personnel work and labor force; solutions to overcome all difficulties, develop production, actively apply scientific and technological advances, in order to improve labor productivity, product quality, and production and business efficiency," President Tran Dai Quang requested.

The President hopes that corporations, general companies, banks, and units of the Central Enterprise Sector will continue to strive to clearly demonstrate their role as the core force of the state economy, making an important contribution to building a socialist-oriented market economy with many forms of ownership and many economic sectors, in which the state economy plays a leading role, the private economy is an important driving force of the economy; entities of economic sectors are equal, cooperate and compete according to the law./.
