On the morning of August 28th, in Hanoi, President Tran Dai Quang received Mr. Herminio Lopez Diaz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Vietnam, who paid a farewell visit upon the completion of his term of service in Vietnam.

Earlier on the afternoon of August 21, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan also received Cuban Ambassador Hermenio Lopez Diaz.

Ms. Ngan highly appreciated the Ambassador's achievements and contributions in promoting the special traditional relationship between the two countries and the two Parliaments.

According to the Cuban Ambassador, this is a good time to elevate trade relations to match political relations. Cuba is cooperating to develop the economy and increase investment in Cuban pharmaceutical products in Vietnam. In the healthcare sector, during his term, the Ambassador has fostered in-depth medical cooperation with several hospitals, bringing experts to Vietnam for consultation and work.
