The youngest provincial chairman in the country in Ha Tinh was elected to the People's Council with a high number of votes.

Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh (40 years old), alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, is the youngest provincial and municipal Chairman in the country today, having just won 93.14% of the votes to be elected to the People's Council of Ha Tinh province.

On the afternoon of May 27, the Ha Tinh Provincial Election Committee announced the results and list of elected delegates to the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016-2021.

Accordingly, the total number of candidates for the People's Council of Ha Tinh province is 92 people and 55 people were elected. Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, candidate for the People's Council of the province in constituency No. 6 in Can Loc district, was elected to the People's Council of Ha Tinh province for the 2016-2021 term with 93.14% of the votes, the third highest in the province after Mr. Trinh Van Ngoc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vu Quang district with 94.69% of the votes in constituency No. 12 of Vu Quang district and Mr. Dang Ngoc Son - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province with 93.46% of the votes in constituency No. 13 of Huong Khe district.

Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh (born in 1976), from Tien Dien commune (Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh), has a doctorate in Urban and Construction Management. During the Ha Tinh People's Council meeting on April 21, Mr. Khanh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee. Taking office at the age of 40, Mr. Khanh became the youngest provincial Chairman in the country.
