Chinese President Xi Jinping left Beijing this morning to travel to Vietnam for the APEC 2017 High-Level Week.
At 1 PM today, November 10th, the plane carrying President Xi Jinping landed at Da Nang airport.

After attending the summit in Da Nang, Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to South Vietnam and Laos.
In Da Nang, the Chinese President will attend meetings within the framework of the APEC High-Level Week. According to the planned schedule, this afternoon, President Xi Jinping will deliver a speech at the APEC business conference.
On November 12th, Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Hanoi to begin a state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Tran Dai Quang.
This is Xi Jinping's first overseas trip since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and his re-election as General Secretary.
Commenting on the visit, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son assessed it as a "new milestone" in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. The relationship will be further promoted and deepened in the future.
Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son stated that President Xi Jinping's attendance and speech at the APEC Business Conference demonstrates the strong determination of China's top leader to maintain the momentum of development and cooperation within APEC, as well as the close ties between APEC leaders and businesses.
