The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province visits and congratulates healthcare units.

Accompanying them were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Dang Thanh Tung - Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of the Department of Health; Nguyen Thi Thom - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; and representatives of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and Vinh city.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh visited and congratulated the medical staff of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital.

Established in 1918, this is currently a Grade I specialized general hospital; the highest-level hospital for examination and treatment in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics and Gynecology in the North Central region of Vietnam.

The hospital currently has 60 departments, wards, and centers, including: 8 functional departments, 9 paraclinical departments, 36 clinical departments, and 7 centers (with 8 departments directly under the centers) with a total staff of 1,825 people.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh highly appreciated the spirit and responsibility of all cadres, doctors, nurses, and staff, as well as the results of examination and treatment at the hospital; he also shared the pressures and difficulties due to the nature of the work, given the increasingly complex developments of the epidemic, as well as the shortage of equipment and patient overload.

Affirming the province's strong commitment to the healthcare sector, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province expressed confidence that, in the coming time, the leadership, doctors, and medical staff of the hospital will continue to uphold their sense of responsibility to provide even better examination and treatment for patients.

In particular, given its position as a tertiary hospital specializing in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics and Gynecology, and its aspiration to become a top-tier hospital, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the Hospital's Board of Directors will continue to research and create opportunities for medical staff to improve their skills and access new technologies.

At the same time, the hospital serves as a model for lower-level medical facilities in the province to learn from in terms of expertise and professional skills; thereby, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment throughout the province and reducing overcrowding at the provincial level.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh wished the entire leadership, medical staff, and employees of the hospital good health, unity, and outstanding performance in fulfilling their duties, marking Nghe An Friendship General Hospital as a shining example of healthcare in the North Central region.

Following that, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and congratulated Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. 2025 marks the 40th anniversary of the hospital's establishment. Currently a Grade I provincial-level hospital specializing in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Pediatrics, it is aiming to become a regional-level hospital in the North Central region.

This is the largest maternity and pediatric hospital in the country, with 42 departments, wards, and centers; including: 25 clinical departments, 6 paraclinical departments, 10 functional rooms, and 1 center for prenatal and neonatal screening and diagnosis. The entire hospital has 1,289 staff members, including 401 doctors.

On behalf of the provincial leadership and the delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh expressed his pleasure and highly appreciated the progress made by the hospital after 40 years of establishment, in fulfilling its functions, roles, and responsibilities effectively.

In particular, in recent years, the hospital has actively applied new, advanced techniques; improved the quality of its medical staff; and thereby enhanced the quality of examination and treatment for the very specific patient group of children, leaving a positive impression and good feelings in the hearts of patients and their families.

Looking ahead, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the Board of Directors and the team of doctors, nurses, and employees of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital strive to overcome difficulties, especially regarding facilities and equipment; promote research, update knowledge and treatment protocols for new diseases to further improve the work of examination, treatment, and healthcare for patients.

Also this afternoon, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh visited and congratulated the doctors, nurses, and workers of the Nghe An Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital; this is one of only two specialized hospitals for trauma and orthopedics in the country.

Established 13 years ago amidst numerous difficulties and challenges, the hospital has now affirmed its position in the field of trauma and orthopedic examination and treatment. Currently, the hospital has 15 departments and wards, with a total staff of 200 people, including 47 doctors.

During a conversation with the hospital's leaders and medical staff, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the unit's unique approach and methods; namely, focusing intensely on professional expertise, providing healthcare for patients, and gradually establishing its brand.

Despite remaining challenges, after 13 years of establishment and development, the Nghe An Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital has now stood firmly on its own two feet.

On behalf of the provincial leadership and the delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh emphasized that the hospital needs to continue to develop and expand the proven effective approaches and methods, aiming to become a specialized hospital in the field of trauma and orthopedics in the North Central region.

At the three hospitals, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the suggestions and proposals and stated that he would work with the Health Department in the coming time to calculate a comprehensive solution.
