Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Vo Trong Hai, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for health stations in three border communes.
On the morning of November 28th, in Chau Khe commune, Nghe An province, the Provincial Police, the Department of Health, and the local authorities jointly organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the health station serving three border communes.

Comrade Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the ceremony. Also present were leaders from relevant departments, agencies, and localities.
According to the Provincial Police, the project is being implemented based on the policies of the Party and the State, and with the attention of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry, the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee.
To date, the Provincial Police have advised and mobilized 80 billion VND to build 8 health stations in border communes including: Chau Khe, Keng Du, Tam Quang, Na Ngoi, Na Loi, Thong Thu, Tri Le, and Anh Son.

In the first phase, construction began on three health stations in Chau Khe, Tam Quang, and Keng Du; the remaining five stations are expected to begin construction in early December 2025.
The communes that received investment are all located in mountainous areas with complex terrain, difficult transportation, and scattered populations along streams and ravines. The people are mainly ethnic minorities, facing difficult living conditions, and the percentage of poor and near-poor households is higher than the provincial average.

The local health station system has been deteriorating for a long time, with many facilities severely damaged after typhoons No. 3, 5, and 10, directly affecting the capacity for medical examination and treatment, as well as disease prevention and control.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Comrade Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed the consistent viewpoint of the Party, the State, and the provincial leadership to give special attention to Western Nghe An.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee shared his condolences regarding the losses and damages suffered by localities in the Mekong Delta due to recent storms and floods. In this context, the Ministry of Public Security has provided practical support: building 108 houses for the people, a multi-level school in My Ly commune with a total cost of nearly 106 billion VND, and is currently continuing to invest in 8 health stations in border communes.
These projects are of profound significance, helping people gradually stabilize their lives and strengthen infrastructure in particularly disadvantaged areas.

Comrade Vo Trong Hai also frankly acknowledged the challenges faced by the 82 mountainous communes of Nghe An in the initial phase of operating a two-tiered local government: a lack of infrastructure, office buildings, and living conditions for officials; and significant pressure in carrying out state management tasks across a large area with a dispersed population.
In this context, the province will continue to review and issue appropriate policies; prioritizing the allocation of human resources and other resources to support the western communes, focusing on two key areas: education and training, and healthcare.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his appreciation for the meaningful and timely gifts that the Ministry of Public Security has given to the people of Nghe An.
The comrade requested that relevant departments, agencies, and localities coordinate closely with the Provincial Police to resolve obstacles and create favorable conditions for contractors to carry out construction, ensuring quality and completion of the project before the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2026), ensuring the progress and quality of the project.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the Health Department to proactively prepare human resources and equipment to quickly put the health stations into operation after completion, effectively meeting the medical examination and treatment needs of the people.
Next, in the presence of numerous local officials and people, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Trong Hai, along with leaders of various departments, agencies, and localities, performed the groundbreaking ceremony, officially commencing the construction of the projects.
