Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Vo Trong Hai, inspected the grading process for the 10th grade entrance exam and the entrance exam for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.
On the afternoon of May 31st, Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, inspected the grading process for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year and the entrance exam for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.
Accompanying him were Comrade Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Department of Education and Training.

The 2026-2027 school year marks the largest-scale 10th-grade entrance exam ever held in Nghe An province; it is also the first year the exam will be organized within the context of a two-tiered local government system.
According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, the entire province has 49,372 candidates registered to take the exam at 69 examination boards with 73 examination locations, an increase of 10,247 students compared to 2025. The exam took place over two days (May 25th and 26th) with three subjects: Literature, Foreign Language, and Mathematics.
To ensure fairness and objectivity, the examination process is strictly implemented. The exam questions are prepared by drawing lots, ensuring fairness and absolute confidentiality. The grading process is conducted in two independent, isolated rounds with strict supervision to guarantee accuracy and transparency.
Currently, the grading of the 10th grade entrance exam is being carried out at three locations: Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Ha Huy Tap High School, and Le Viet Thuat High School.

At the exam grading site at Le Viet Thuat High School, Truong Vinh ward, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai inspected the conditions for exam grading, security measures, safety and security, and the implementation of the grading process according to regulations.
Upon inspection, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged that the exam grading process was carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations; and that the necessary facilities, security, and safety conditions were ensured.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and encouraged the staff and teachers who are carrying out their duties, and requested the members of the examination grading committee to uphold their sense of responsibility, follow the correct procedures and regulations, and ensure that the grading results are objective, accurate, and fair for all candidates.

Later that afternoon, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai continued to inspect the grading process for the 10th grade entrance exam at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.
The entrance exam for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School for the 2026-2027 academic year attracted 2,518 applications, an increase of nearly 800 applications compared to 2025, and the highest number of applicants ever recorded.

Candidates are taking the entrance exam for 15 specialized classes at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. While the number of applicants has increased significantly, the enrollment quota remains at 35 students per specialized class, making the competition this year very intense. The exam was held on May 28th; grading began on May 30th and is expected to be completed on June 2nd.
According to the admission plan, candidates applying to Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School must take the specialized subject exam; and simultaneously use the results of Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language from the 10th grade high school entrance exam. Scores for non-specialized subjects are weighted 1, while scores for the specialized subject are weighted 3 to determine admission results.

To ensure objectivity and accuracy, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training mobilized a team of core, experienced teachers from high schools across the province to participate in grading the exams in two independent rounds, supervised by cameras.
The grading process is conducted in complete isolation; participating officials and teachers are provided with accommodation, meals, and work in the grading area throughout the entire period of their duties, without using mobile phones or personal communication devices, and without contact with the outside world to ensure absolute confidentiality.

This year, teachers from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School did not participate in grading the exams; they only performed the task of checking the exam papers within the expected admission score range to ensure the highest accuracy in the admission results.
After conducting an on-site inspection, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the sense of responsibility of the examination board; and at the same time requested them to continue strictly implementing regulations and rules, ensuring that the examination process is safe, accurate, objective, and fair; and selecting the most outstanding students to study at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.
