Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Vo Trong Hai, presented flowers to congratulate the newly appointed Associate Professor in the field of Health.
On the afternoon of November 20th, Nghe An Eye Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and to honor the newly appointed Associate Professor Tran Tat Thang - Director of Nghe An Eye Hospital. Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - attended the ceremony, presented flowers, and awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal to Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Tat Thang.

Also attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Dang Thanh Tung - Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of the Nghe An Department of Health; representatives of the Vinh Phu ward leadership; and health units in the province.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the authorized representative, the Nghe An Department of Health announced the Decision to award the Third-Class Labor Medal from the President of Vietnam; and announced the Decision of the Chairman of the State Council of Professors recognizing Dr. Tran Tat Thang - Director of Nghe An Eye Hospital - as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in 2025.

Comrade Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province - presented flowers and handed over the President's decision to Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Tat Thang; acknowledging the persistent contributions of Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Tat Thang to the provincial health sector, especially in the field of ophthalmology in Nghe An.

In her congratulatory speech to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Tat Thang, Dr. Le Thi Hoai Chung, a specialist in ophthalmology, stated: Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Tat Thang is a prime example of dedication and innovation. He has contributed to training many generations of ophthalmologists and implementing a series of modern techniques, helping the ophthalmology specialty in Nghe An province to develop strongly.

The title of Associate Professor and the Third-Class Labor Medal are well-deserved recognitions for the dedication and contributions of Comrade Tran Tat Thang. This is not only a personal honor but also the result of a long-term investment in developing high-quality human resources for the health sector of Nghe An province. As of November 2025, the entire health sector of Nghe An will have 6 Associate Professors; with 2 more achieving the standard in 2025 alone.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Tat Thang expressed his determination to continue efforts in training, scientific research, and improving the quality of treatment for patients; and together with the staff of Nghe An Eye Hospital, to further promote the development of advanced techniques, expand professional cooperation, and transfer technology to lower-level facilities, helping people in Nghe An access modern ophthalmology services right in their locality.
