While drinking water in Thu Duc District (Ho Chi Minh City), the owner of a luxury car claimed to have seen a young man smash the car window and steal a handbag containing 5 billion VND.

Police in Thu Duc District (Ho Chi Minh City) are taking statements from those involved, examining the crime scene, and investigating a suspected theft of 5 billion VND from a Lexus car.

According to the report from a 40-year-old man residing in District 9, on the morning of June 27th, he drove his Lexus to the bank to withdraw 5 billion VND. On the way back, he stopped at a coffee shop in Linh Trung Ward (Thu Duc District) for a drink, leaving the money bag in the car.

About 30 minutes later, he noticed a young man on a motorbike stop right next to his car and smash the window. He panicked and ran out, but the assailant had already taken his money bag and fled.
