On September 25, 2018, the Tan Ky District People's Court tried the criminal case against Vo Dinh Hanh (born in 1989), residing in Dong Luc hamlet, Tan An commune, and Le Van The (born in 1971), residing in hamlet 13, Tan Huong commune (Tan Ky district), for the crime of gambling.

According to the indictment, at approximately 10:00 PM on June 19, 2018, at Nguyen Xuan Truong's Cafe 277 in Dong Luc hamlet, Tan An commune, a group of individuals including Hanh, The, Loi, and Hung were watching football. Hung noticed a 52-card deck on the table. Hung then invited Hanh, Loi, and The to gamble using the Southern Vietnamese Tiến Lên card game, with each round involving a stake of 10,000 VND.

At approximately 10:10 PM on the same day, while the individuals were gambling, the Tan Ky District Police force raided the premises and caught them red-handed, seizing 360,000 VND from the gambling table.and related items.

The investigation has proven that the individuals who used the gambling money were: Hanh, Hung, and Loi, each using 90,000 VND, and The using 80,000 VND.

Since Hung and Loi participated in gambling with a total amount of 360,000 VND, their actions did not constitute the crime of gambling. The Criminal Investigation Department of Tan Ky District Police issued an administrative fine of 1 million VND to each of them.

Previously, on July 27, 2016, Hanh was sentenced by the Tan Ky District People's Court to 18 months of non-custodial correctional training for the crime of Vo Dinh Hanh."Gamble"Her criminal record had not yet been expunged.
