During the meeting, Cua Lo ward and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the progress of ongoing work, while also highlighting difficulties that need to be addressed and solutions for electric vehicle operations, parking lots, fireworks display locations, and security and order during the opening ceremony.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Van Thanh emphasized: The Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2026 is an important cultural and tourism event of the province, contributing to promoting the image of Nghe An tourism, especially Cua Lo tourism; it is also the opening activity for the 2026 tourism season, creating momentum to promote the development of tourism, services and socio-economic development in the area.
To date, relevant departments, agencies, localities, and units have proactively implemented the tasks according to the Plan; the preparation work is basically on schedule.
However, the workload remains substantial, the requirements are high, and the time is tight. Continued focus on directing and refining the content is necessary to ensure the opening ceremony is solemn, safe, effective, and creates a positive impression on delegates, the public, and tourists.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be the focal agency responsible for reviewing the content, script, and organization of the opening ceremony; to continue urging units to implement tasks according to the plan; to review and finalize the program script, staging, and general rehearsal to ensure artistic quality and progress. At the same time, strengthen communication before, during, and after the event to ensure effectiveness and widespread impact.
The Department of Finance needs to urgently appraise and advise the Provincial People's Committee on allocating funds to units to carry out tasks in a timely manner.
For Cua Lo ward, it is necessary to coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant departments, agencies, and localities to effectively implement the Cua Lo Tourism Festival Plan 2026; ensuring conditions regarding land availability, urban beautification, environmental sanitation, and urban order...

At the same time, in coordination with the Department of Construction and the Provincial Police, signs indicating a speed limit of 30km/h will be erected to allow electric vehicles to operate in Cua Lo to serve local residents and tourists.
