(Baonghean.vn) - On June 12-13, a delegation from Military Region 4, led by Major General Tran Tien Dung - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4, conducted an inspection of the implementation of military and national defense tasks in the first six months of the year at the Nghe An Provincial Military Command.

In the first six months of 2017, the Provincial Military Command effectively advised the local Party committee and government on the strict implementation of orders and directives from the Military Region; successfully carried out military and national defense tasks, with many outstanding achievements such as: maintaining combat readiness; accurately forecasting the situation; coordinating and advising on the effective resolution of issues arising from the grassroots level; recruitment and training in national defense and security knowledge for various groups; and directing the preparation for the 2017 provincial defense zone exercise.

Concluding the inspection, Major General Tran Tien Dung - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4 - highly appreciated the results of the military and national defense tasks performed by officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces in the first six months of 2017, notably the thorough and in-depth implementation of all four aspects of work.

In addition, Major General Tran Tien Dung requested that in the coming period, the Provincial Military Command review and implement the remaining goals and targets for the last six months of the year, focusing on preparing and conducting the 2017 provincial defense zone exercise; further improving political and ideological education and orientation for troops; accurately assessing and predicting the situation to promptly advise the Party Committee and government on handling prominent incidents occurring in the area; and building a strong foundation of public support, being ready for combat while participating in the development of the economy, culture, society, and national defense and security.
