Congratulations to the Bishop of Vinh Diocese on receiving his pastoral ministry at the Thanksgiving Mass.

In the joyful atmosphere of the early days of the new Spring, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trong Tue - Head of the Nghi Loc District Police - wished Bishop Nguyen Huu Long many good results in his pastoral work in the Vinh Diocese, and hoped that the Church would cooperate closely with the government to jointly build a more developed Nghe An province in general and Nghi Loc district in particular. He also expressed his hope that the Bishop would always pay attention to ensuring security and order, and maintaining peace in the district.

Thanking the leaders of the Nghi Loc District Police, Bishop Nguyen Huu Long affirmed: During his pastoral ministry in the Vinh Diocese, the Bishop, along with other dignitaries in the Diocese, will cooperate well with all levels of government in building a stronger and more prosperous homeland and country. Bishop Nguyen Huu Long hoped that the government would create favorable conditions for the Bishop and other dignitaries to carry out their religious activities smoothly; and he hoped that the police force would pay attention to ensuring security and order for parishes and sub-parishes in the area.
