(Baonghean.vn) - For about half a month now, people in Linh Hong village, Thanh Linh commune, Thanh Chuong district (Nghe An) have been "sitting on hot coals" because dozens of tons of green squash that are ready to be harvested cannot be sold due to falling prices. After Nghe An newspaper published the article: "Green squash priced at 2,000 VND/kg still has no buyers", many organizations and individuals joined hands to "rescue".

Unlike the crowded scene of green pumpkins everywhere, today the kiosks and house of Ms. Tran Thi Ha in Linh Hong village, Thanh Linh commune (Thanh Chuong) have become empty because more than 3 tons of pumpkins that had been left over from many days ago have been sold out.
Ms. Ha happily said: "After Nghe An newspaper published the article, I received many calls from all over the country, mainly from children of Thanh Chuong Association. After that, they introduced some businesses and directly came to the place to buy pumpkins for the people."
The first organization to participate in "rescuing" green squash for Thanh Chuong people was Minh Khang Joint Stock Company - a business in Vinh city that bought more than 1 ton and some armed forces units also joined hands to buy squash to help people.
A representative of an anonymous unit shared: Having witnessed the production and use of pumpkins here many times, we confirm that this is a clean food source. Previously, we bought at high prices, but now that we read the news that pumpkin prices have dropped, we have come to buy more, hoping to support some of the difficulties for the people, and also an opportunity to buy more pumpkins at cheaper prices. |

Joining hands with the people of his hometown, on social networks, many people have shared, encouraged the people and introduced them to everyone. A young man from Thanh Chuong working in Hanoi has continuously called on his fellow countrymen to form a rescue group and has directly introduced a business specializing in providing food for water transport units in Hanoi to buy more than 10 tons. This person said that he will contact traders at wholesale markets in Hanoi to continue buying pumpkins for the people.
Besides the contribution of organizations and individuals outside the area, these days Thanh Chuong people when going to the market also pay attention to green squash.

Thanks to the attention and rescue of a number of businesses and people, the amount of pumpkins in stock has now decreased significantly. According to incomplete statistics, in the past 4 days, people have sold over 20 tons of pumpkins at an average price of 4,000 - 5,000 VND/kg.Currently, the district estimates there are about 40 tons of pumpkin left.

Nghe An: Green squash costs only 2,000 VND/kg but no one buys it
