Free heart screening for poor children in the localities has become a regular activity of the “Heart for Children” program. Over the past 15 years, 97 free screening programs have been organized to detect early congenital heart disease for more than 159,000 children in disadvantaged areas of the country.

The program has supported surgery costs for more than 6,900 patients, with an average surgery cost of up to 40 million VND per case. Having a child with congenital heart disease is a real burden and not every family can afford it, so the program is implemented with funding from Viettel (committed to sponsoring 5 billion VND/1 year) and socialized resources will support all surgery costs for children with congenital heart disease in difficult circumstances./.
