The "Proud of the National Flag" program presents gifts in Nghe An.

Speaking at the event, Dr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, affirmed that for many years, the whole country has always had many practical activities directed towards the sea, islands, and border regions. Among these activities, the "Proud of the National Flag" program of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper is a program with creative ideas, large scale and great significance, creating a great impact nationwide.

To date, after a full four years of implementation, the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has donated 1,787,620 national flags to people in provinces and cities nationwide. This includes 1,150,370 flags donated and signed agreements for the "Million National Flags for Fishermen Staying at Sea" program to fishermen in all 28 coastal provinces and cities; 325,550 flags from the "National Flag on the Border" component to 24 provinces with land borders; and 311,700 flags from the "National Flag Road" component to build flag-lined roads to historical and cultural sites in 33 provinces and cities nationwide.

Comrade Truong Hoa Binh - former member of the Politburo, former Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Honorary Chairman of the "Proud of the National Flag" Program, presented the national flag to Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Comrade To Dinh Tuan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, presented a symbolic plaque representing 10,000 national flags to Comrade Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

On June 1st, the "Proud of the National Flag" program held a ceremony to present 5,000 national flags under the "National Flag on the Border" component and 5,000 national flags under the "National Flag Road" component. On June 4th, the program will continue to donate 10,000 flags to fishermen in Nghe An province from the "Millions of National Flags for Fishermen Staying at Sea" component.

"The 'Proud of the National Flag' program has donated 45,000 national flags to Nghe An province. Nghe An is one of the provinces that has received the most flags from the program nationwide," said Mr. To Dinh Tuan.

A symbolic check of 150 million VND was presented to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning.

On this occasion, the Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, To Dinh Tuan, presented a symbolic check of 150 million VND to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, in the presence of former Politburo member and former Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and leaders of Nghe An province; the "Scholarship Program to Support Ethnic Minority and Poor Students," founded by Comrade Truong Hoa Binh nearly 20 years ago and currently managed by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, also awarded 100 scholarships (worth 1 million VND each) to poor but studious students in Nam Dan district; and donated 150 million VND to the Nghe An Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning.

On behalf of the leaders of Nam Dan district, Mr. Vuong Hong Thai - Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Dan district, expressed gratitude for the special attention and affection of Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, and the sponsors who donated valuable gifts that are truly meaningful in encouraging and motivating the people and students of Nam Dan district as well as in Nghe An province, helping to alleviate difficulties for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

On this occasion, Comrade Truong Hoa Binh - former member of the Politburo, former Standing Deputy Prime Minister, and his wife; the delegation from the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper; and leaders of Nghe An province laid flowers and offered incense, expressing their boundless gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district. They pledged to continue following the path chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh; striving to overcome all difficulties and build a stronger and more prosperous unit, locality, and country.
