US military expert: The negotiating 'game' is over.
American military experts believe that Russia will not allow Ukraine to rearm under the guise of a ceasefire.

According to RIA Novosti on May 31, American military analyst and political scientist Mark Sleboda stated that Russia will not allow Ukraine to use the ceasefire agreement to rearm.
"This game is over. The Kremlin will not give the West any respite to pump weapons into Ukraine again, and the Kiev authorities have no chance to 'buy time' by mobilizing more people in the streets," said military analyst Sleboda.
The expert noted that Ukraine has systematically broken all peace initiatives proposed by Russia – from the Minsk agreement to those of Russian President Vladimir Putin – and has only used them to further its own provocations. Therefore, according to Slebod, one way or another, the conflict will end on Russian terms – either on the battlefield or at the negotiating table.
"The advantage is on Russia's side. Western aides don't have a trump card up their sleeve," expert Sleboda commented.
Earlier on May 30, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, stated at a UN Security Council meeting that Moscow would not give Ukraine the opportunity to rearm under the guise of ceasefire agreements. Nebenzya also emphasized that eliminating the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict is of fundamental importance for resolving the issue "once and for all."
