"Yesterday's Story", premiered on the evening of March 17, is a documentary that reveals for the first time the 20-year journey of living fully with passion of the band Buc Tuong and its leader Tran Lap.

On the evening of March 17, exactly one year since the death of the late musician and singer Tran Lap, the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio premiered the film Yesterday's Story - a work about the journey of more than 20 years of living fully with the passion of The Wall.

On that journey, The Wall has gone through many ups and downs, incidents, many reunions, breakups, internal conflicts, the pressures of family life and showbiz life.

But above all, The Wall has affirmed its leading position as a rock band by creating songs rich in humanity, highly aesthetic and creating a strong effect on a wide range of audiences.

Trần Lập (bên phải) và Tuấn Hùng - 2 trụ cột của Bức Tường. Các thành viên khác ví hai người là đôi vợ chồng già hay cãi nhau nhưng không thể bỏ nhau.
Tran Lap (right) and Tuan Hung - 2 pillars of Buc Tuong. Other members compare the two to an old couple who often quarrel but cannot leave each other.

With a length of more than 75 minutes, the film is the result of the labor of directors Dang Linh, Hong Thang and the crew. They worked on it for a long time, stemming from their love for Tran Lap and Buc Tuong.

In the film, special details about the band, family life, love, and friendship are revealed for the first time by the members. They comment on each other with the most honest words, without the flowery, flowery words that people often see in showbiz.

The film also reveals the special, ups and downs relationship between leader Tran Lap and lead guitarist Tuan Hung. Tuan Hung also reveals the reason why Buc Tuong disbanded.

After the disbandment, Tuan Hung shaved his head. The members of Buc Tuong all compared Duc Hung and Tran Lap to an old married couple, who argued often but could never leave each other.

Phim dài gần 80 phim là hành trình 20 năm theo đuổi đam mê của Bức Tường và Trần Lập.
The nearly 80-minute film is the 20-year journey of pursuing the passion of Buc Tuong and Tran Lap.

Director Dang Linh said she had to stay up many nights to research and filter the materials. The female director wanted the work to bring new things, hidden corners that not everyone knows about The Wall.

The climax of the film is the image of Tran Lap. In the middle of the band's musical career, musician and singer Tran Lap - the band's leader - fell seriously ill and passed away, leaving a void in the hearts of those who remained. The band was repeatedly faced with the choice of stopping or continuing because there was no leader who could replace Tran Lap.

However, the vitality of The Wall over the past 20 years has remained strong, each song still resonates forever, echoes forever as if it has never died in the hearts of fans. The love and admiration of the audience is the priceless spiritual medicine for the true artists of The Wall band to continue to devote themselves to the path they have chosen.

Sharing after the premiere, Ms. Mai Hoa, wife of the late musician Tran Lap, said she was satisfied with the work of directors Dang Linh and Hong Thang.

"When Dang Linh made this film, I also told Linh to focus on the band and Lap instead of the family story. I was satisfied when watching this film. However, I still felt that Lap's spirit and determination were lacking. If that could be done, the film would have more depth for the audience," Ms. Hoa added.
