The love story between a Vietnamese teacher and a foreign man.

A wedding photoshoot with a "Cinderella" theme, inspired by the fairy tale, featuring a Vietnamese bride and her Western groom, has received many comments from the online community.

This is the love story of Kenny, a foreign groom from the UK, and Mai Lan, a 26-year-old English teacher at a center in Hanoi.

My mother disapproved because I was in love with a foreigner.

Kenny and Mai Lan first met when they both attended a meeting of the English Club members. At that time, Kenny was a skinny guy with an unremarkable appearance.

"Both of us had many friends there, but for some reason Kenny took the initiative to strike up a conversation with me and ask for my phone number. The next day, he invited me for coffee, and I happily accepted, seeing it as an opportunity to practice my English. Unexpectedly, over time, feelings developed between us, and we fell in love without even realizing it," Mai Lan recounted.

Lan remembers the first time she brought Kenny home to meet her mother; her mother initially disapproved because she didn't want her daughter to marry someone from far away. But after getting to know Kenny, Lan's mother gradually grew fond of the foreign man.

During their four years together, Kenny and Mai Lan faced many challenges. Their biggest conflict occurred when Kenny returned to his home country for 10 months. Knowing Lan was upset, he sent gifts to Vietnam on every holiday.

Because of the long distance and some misunderstandings, Lan once considered breaking up with Kenny, but love ultimately overcame everything.

The day Kenny returned to Vietnam, he immediately proposed to the girl he loved. To celebrate this major milestone in their lives, Kenny and Mai Lan recently took a trip to Ninh Binh to have their wedding photos taken.

Starting a career in Vietnam

Lan chose the idea of ​​a famous fairy tale for her photoshoot. Many tourists took pictures of the bride and groom when they saw the two looking like a beautiful couple in their unique outfits.

"The idea for the photoshoot came quite naturally, because this fairy tale has a similar plot to the foreign Cinderella story. When I told him about it, he seemed very interested. I started looking for suitable costumes," Mai Lan recounted.

Over the past four years, Kenny and Lan have learned many lessons about sharing. They have learned to reconcile their differences in personality, interests, and even eating habits.

"She has always been very understanding and supportive," Kenny confided. Lan and Kenny also plan to hold their wedding during the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Knowing she was fortunate, Lan told herself to remember and follow her mother's advice: "You must know how to enjoy and preserve your blessings for yourself and your children. Your husband is so good, so don't let him down."
