Nghe An Press Club won the Central Press Football Championship for the 7th time
With a 3-1 victory in the final match in Da Nang, Nghe An Press Club (Rclub Nghe An) won the Central Press Football Championship for the 7th time, continuing to affirm its leading position in the region.
At Tuyen Son Sports Village (Da Nang City), the 11th Central Press Football Tournament - 2025 has just ended with the final match between the home team JFC Da Nang and the defending champion Nghe An Press Club.

Although playing at home, JFC Da Nang team encountered many difficulties against a highly rated opponent. Defensive mistakes caused the home team to concede 3 goals.
It was not until the end of the match that player Nguyen Thanh scored a goal to shorten the score from the penalty spot, determining the final result 1-3.

Previously, Nghe An Newspaper Club won all 3 group stage matches, successively defeating Thanh Hoa Newspaper (2-0), Quang Tri (2-0) and Quang Nam (3-0) to take the top spot in Group B. Meanwhile, JFC Da Nang had to rely on the extra goal difference to rise to the top of Group A after 2 wins and 1 loss.
With the 7th championship after 11 seasons, the Nghe An team continues to affirm its position as the leading force in the sports playground for journalists in the Central region.

The 11th Central Press Football Tournament - 2025 is a meaningful playground, especially on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press. Maintaining the tournament for 11 consecutive seasons demonstrates the great efforts of the hosting units, as well as the positive response from press clubs in the Central provinces.
This year's competition gathered more than 200 reporters, editors, and journalists from central and local press agencies in the Central region. The event not only contributed to creating a healthy playground but also spread the spirit of sharing in the press community.
Not only is it a professional sports playground, the Central Press Football Tournament is also a meaningful community connection activity. Through each season, the Organizing Committee and participating teams actively donate and support those in difficult circumstances.
In 2016, the football teams donated more than 30 million VND to support Vietnamese victims of traffic accidents in Laos. In 2017, the same amount was transferred to disadvantaged children at Hue Children's Hospital. In 2018, JFC Da Nang and the teams presented 6 gifts (each worth 5 million VND) to poor students and patients in Da Nang.
Continuing that tradition, at the 2025 tournament, the Organizing Committee raised more than 30 million VND to support reporter Le Anh Son (Thanh Hoa) - who is facing difficulties in life.
Up to now, after each season, this football tournament has maintained charitable activities with an average total donation of more than 30 million VND per year, becoming a beautiful and humane tradition of journalists in the Central region.
