Ho Chi Minh City Police FC has recruited Jason Cummings, a striker who previously played in the 2022 World Cup.

On the evening of August 12th, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club made a major breakthrough in the V-League transfer market by officially announcing the signing of Jason Cummings. The striker, born in 1995, holds dual Scottish and Australian citizenship and boasts a top-tier playing record, considered extremely rare for a foreign player in the domestic league.

Jason Cummings is known as one of the most outstanding strikers in the Asia-Pacific region in recent years. The peak of his career was spent playing for Central Coast Mariners in the Australian A-League.

In the 2022/23 season, the striker set a new goalscoring record for Central Coast Mariners with 20 goals. The highlight was the 2023 A-League Final, where Cummings shone brightly with a hat-trick, helping his team thrash their opponents 6-1 to win the championship and also claim the Man of the Match award. Concluding his 18 months playing in Australia, he scored a total of 31 goals in 50 appearances.
