Quang Ninh FC owes players nearly 90 billion VND; Mbappe determined to join Real Madrid.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to calculations by Quang Ninh players, the total salary, bonuses, and signing fees that the club owes them since the beginning of 2020 amount to approximately 90 billion VND; Kylian Mbappe rejected PSG's contract extension offer to join Real Madrid.

The figure includes 40% of the signing bonus for contracts in 2019, 2020, and 2021, bonuses from the end of 2019, and salaries from September 2020 to the present. Some players who have moved to other teams, such as goalkeeper Huynh Tuan Linh (currently playing for HAGL), Giang Tran Quach Tan, and Nguyen Xuan Hung (currently playing for Ha Tinh), are also owed money.
On the afternoon of April 9th, the leaders of Quang Ninh province signed a decision to award a bonus of 500 million VND. However, the players believe this amount is too small. They will not receive it immediately, but require a precise commitment regarding the payment schedule for the remaining amounts.
The Quang Ninh players also did not attend training on April 9th. They held a meeting and unanimously agreed not to travel to Hanoi for the Round 9 match, scheduled for Sunday, April 11th. Prior to this, all the players had simultaneously posted on their personal social media accounts.They announced they would stop playing in the V-League.The leaders repeatedly promised to pay but failed to do so.
Despite economic difficulties, the Quang Ninh players have been performing brilliantly on the field for the past eight rounds. They even won four consecutive matches recently to climb to second place, just one point behind HAGL. However, if they don't play this week, they will be handed a 0-3 defeat. During today's team meeting, coach Hoang Tho broke down in tears because of his team's ironic situation.
Players who left the team before the start of the season said they would sue the VFF (Vietnam Football Federation) to demand their money back. The remaining players asserted they would follow FIFA regulations and unilaterally terminate their contracts if they were not paid. Quang Ninh FC is facing the risk of being disbanded.
Due to the withdrawal of their sponsor, Quang Ninh faced financial difficulties ahead of the 2021 season.
Xuan Truong's engagement ceremony was held discreetly in Hanoi.
