Clinton responds when Trump calls her a 'sore loser'

The former Democratic White House candidate said President Trump is "obsessed" with her constant public appearances.

"You know, clearly, my former opponent is haunted by the statements I made," Politico quoted Hillary Clinton as saying on November 18 at an event in Little Rock, Arkansas, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her husband Bill Clinton's election as US president.

"I was told there was another tweet today. What has he done besides tweeting and golfing? I don't understand," the former US secretary of state, a candidate for the White House in 2016, added, referring to a comment that US President Donald Trump wrote on Twitter, calling her a "sore loser".

Clinton also said she would "continue to speak out." The former US secretary of state also mocked President Trump's foreign policy, comparing his Twitter diplomacy to the approach her husband pursues on international issues.

"He doesn't tweet, he gets to work and he actually gets things done," Clinton said of her husband, former US President Bill Clinton.

Mr Trump posted a message on Twitter this morning, calling Mrs Clinton "the worst and most pathetic loser of all time". "She simply cannot be stopped and that is actually a good thing for the Republican Party. Hillary, get on with your life and try again in three years," the US President wrote.

President Trump was apparently reacting to an interview published by Mother Jones magazine on November 17, in which Clinton expressed doubts about the results of the 2016 election.

The US is conducting multiple investigations to clarify whether Mr. Trump colluded with Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. US intelligence agencies believe the information is accurate, but Russia and the US President deny all accusations.
