Twenty countries have called on their citizens to leave Ukraine.
Twenty countries have advised their citizens to leave Ukrainian territory due to fears of military conflict, one Russian news agency reported. The US urged that this be done within 24-48 hours.
Specifically, the governments of Australia, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Israel, Canada, Greece, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, the United States, Spain, as well as North Macedonia, Finland, Montenegro, Estonia, South Korea, Japan, Belgium, Germany, and Lithuania have urged their citizens to leave Ukraine.
Representatives from these countries' foreign ministries urged their citizens to leave Ukraine and return home due to the "serious and unpredictable" security situation.

Yesterday, US President Joe Biden declared February 16th as the date Russia began its invasion of Ukraine. He raised this date during discussions with leaders of Western countries, the European Union, and NATO.
Relations between Russia and the West
Recently, relations between Russia and Western countries have become increasingly strained. Washington and Brussels accuse Moscow of preparing to "invade" Ukraine. NATO is increasing its presence in Eastern Europe. Russia rejects all such claims and notes that Kyiv is not complying with the Minsk agreement: the Ukrainian authorities are concentrating half of their troops near the border and shelling militias with banned weapons.
