The 8-year-old girl was sexually abused by her cousin.
(Baonghean.vn) - Seeing an 8-year-old girl, a relative, wandering around playing alone, Hieu invited her to his house to play and then committed a heinous act.
On June 13th, the Provincial People's Court held a first-instance criminal trial to hear the case against Vi Van Hieu (born in 2002), residing in Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district, for the crime of "Rape of a person under 16 years old". Hieu's victim was T (born in 2010), a relative of Hieu.
According to the indictment, on the evening of February 15th, after returning from an outing, Vi Van Hieu saw T. sitting idly playing on the street and invited the child to his house. There, the young man covered the child's mouth with his hand and then committed the heinous act.They threatened the victim not to tell anyone, or they would be beaten to death.
Subsequently, on the afternoon of February 16th, Hieu went to the child's house. Knowing that no adults were home, Hieu went into a shop and committed the act of sexual intercourse. The victim screamed loudly, and fearing exposure, Hieu ran away.

Upon noticing signs of psychological distress and genital trauma in her child, Ms. H. questioned her, and the child recounted the incident. Immediately, the parents took their child to Hieu's house to talk and demand clarification. Knowing he could not deny it, Hieu admitted his actions.
On February 17th, Hieu's family brought him to the Quy Chau District Police investigation agency to surrender.
The forensic sexual assault report concluded that VTHT had been sexually assaulted. At the time of the incident, the victim was only 8 years, 11 months, and 21 days old, while Hieu was not yet 17 years old.
At the trial, the defendant admitted to his crime and stated that due to youthful impulsiveness, he had committed the act of sexual intercourse against the victim's will.
After considering all aspects of the case, the panel of judges sentenced Vi Văn Hiệu to 12 years in prison. Regarding civil liability, since both parties had reached an agreement and completed the settlement, the panel of judges did not consider it.
