(Baonghean.vn) - For the past 2 days, social networking sites have been buzzing with the clip “Nghe An girl singing Ve Ha Tinh nguoi oi” as sweet as… pouring honey! That girl is Ha Thi Nhu (13 years old), currently a 7A student at Phuc Thanh Secondary School (Yen Thanh).

Ha Thi Nhu is the only child singer from Nghe An to make it to the next round of the contest “Future Idol”. The contest just aired episode 2 at 7pm on March 18, on channel HTV7. The clip of Nhu singing “Ve Ha Tinh nguoi oi” is also her performance in this contest.

After listening to Nhu sing, the program's judges, including many veteran folk music artists, could not contain their joy and were full of praise. Singer Quang Linh exclaimed: "Oh my god, you are 13 years old but you sing like People's Artist Thu Hien! Your musical sense is very good, you sing without excess, just enough to listen, just enough to touch everyone's heart"...

This somewhat “favorable” compliment received the agreement of People’s Artist Thu Hien: “Your singing moved me very much. I felt every word, every letter of my homeland…”

After a successful round, receiving many congratulations from the judges, relatives and fans at home, Quynh Nhu happily said: "I feel very happy. The later the competition, the more difficult it is, I will try harder".

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (44 years old), Nhu's mother, shared: Before and after the Dinh Dau Lunar New Year, Nhu participated in many charity programs in Yen Thanh, Nghi Loc districts, and Ha Tinh. Right before leaving for the South to compete in the second round of "Future Idol", Nhu also performed with the Phuc Thanh Commune Folk Song Club at the Duc Hoang Temple Festival. When Nhu was in Ho Chi Minh City, the members of the Commune Folk Song Club also called to say that they were waiting for Nhu to return to participate in a new program.

As a good student, not only a good singer but also a good student, like the previous exams, Nhu always brought her books to keep up with the school program, trying to review the lessons sent online by teachers and friends.

In particular, during this time, Yen Thanh district is preparing for the excellent student exam, so after singing practice sessions, Nhu is trying to review more culture to participate in the district-level excellent student exam in English. Teacher Tran Thi Luu - homeroom teacher of class 7A said: "Nhu has learned many subjects, in this excellent student exam, she can take both Math and English, but because she is busy with the singing competition, she cannot review much, so she only participates in the English exam".

According to Ms. Huong, because Nhu is passionate about singing, her parents, despite the hardship, still indulge their child's interests. Currently, Nhu's father is working part-time in Hanoi, and her mother followed Nhu to the South. Because she had planned to take her child to compete in "Future Idol", after Tet, she had finished taking care of 4 sao of rice fields and gardens. The family did not dare to raise cows, pigs, and chickens because they were always away from home. About a week before the second round of the competition, Ms. Huong and her mother packed up and headed to the South. This time, she also had to ask her grandmother to come and look after the garden and house.

Mother Nhu revealed that when participating in the "Future God" contest, the travel and accommodation expenses for both mother and daughter were covered by the organizers, so it was somewhat easier. "We only planned to go for a week, but because my child passed the third round, we stayed for another week. Hopefully, my child will continue to go to the next rounds."

“Future Idol” is a reality TV show that searches for singing talents who love folk songs and are between the ages of 8 and 14. The judges of the show are famous singers and artists such as People’s Artist Thu Hien, Quang Linh, and Cam Ly. The show airs at 7 p.m. every Saturday on HTV7, starting from March 11.
