Ha Thi Nhu (13 years old), a 7A student at Phuc Thanh Secondary School (Yen Thanh), is known to everyone by her stage name Quynh Nhu. Having loved singing since childhood, at the age of 5, she sang the song “A song of the heart of a Ha Tinh person” to the surprise and admiration of many people.

Over time, natural talent along with hard work and practice have helped Quynh Nhu have the singing voice she has today. The outstanding feature of Nhu's voice is its gentleness and expressiveness, and she sings both Vi and Giam folk songs and songs with folk melodies well.

Currently, Nhu is the youngest member of the Phuc Thanh Commune Folk Song Club, and has participated with the Club many times in local art performances, Sen Village Singing Festival, Vi and Giam Folk Song Festivals at all levels. Mr. Thanh - Head of the Phuc Thanh Commune Folk Song Club said: "Nhu is a talented person, although young, she is an active member, and has contributed a lot to the success of the Club in competitions, performances, and festivals."

Locally, Nhu not only works in the commune's folk song club but also participates in many programs of the district's departments and branches, such as performing in competitions, conferences, charity programs... Recently, Nhu has also been invited by music groups to sing at weddings and festivals. Nhu once went to Hanoi to perform in the program "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival" (2015), "An tinh vi giam" of the Nghe Tinh Association (2016). In the summer of 2016, Nhu participated in a folk song singing skill training class of People's Artist Hong Luu.

Not only does Nhu sing well, she is also a hard-working student, having been an excellent student for 6 consecutive years. In the Yen Thanh District Excellent Student Competition (2015), Nhu won second prize in English and Math. As the only child in the family, besides studying, Nhu is also diligent in taking care of housework such as cooking, raising chickens and pigs to help her parents. Talking about her child who loves to sing, Ms. Tran Thi Huong (44 years old) happily said: Every day and night, after studying and working, she sees her turn on her phone and go online to learn to sing. Many nights she falls asleep with her phone still singing loudly in her hand. We are very excited when she learns and sings well. Although her family is a farmer and her finances are limited, we still support her in pursuing her singing hobby.

Nhu’s dream is to become a folk singer. In early 2017, Nhu and her mother are in Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the contest “Future Idol” - a reality TV show searching for singing talents who love folk songs for teenagers.
