The market traded cautiously as large-cap stocks showed mixed performance, causing the VN-Index to fluctuate slightly during the morning trading session on June 30th.

Opening the trading session on the morning of June 30th, blue-chip stocks continued to lack new momentum, with trading remaining fragmented and most stocks experiencing only small gains or losses. This resulted in the VN-Index maintaining a state of fluctuation around the reference level.

In the rest of the market, green remained dominant but not overwhelmingly so. Notably, the securities sector performed well, with AGR, FTS, BSI, and CTS all rising from nearly 3% to over 5%.

Meanwhile, VCI, VND, SSI, and VIX have not yet seen a strong price surge, but they remain among the most liquid stocks on the exchange.

In the financial services group, VIX (+2.08%), SSI (+1.5%), VCI (+1.03%), VND (+1.42%), BSI (+4.01%) and SHS (+1.63%).

The banking sector showed divergence, with TCB (-0.69%), MBB (+0.4%), VPB (+0.18%), HDB (+0.39%), ACB (-0.66%), TPB, SHB, and STB falling to their reference prices. Similarly, in the real estate sector, VIC (+0.83%), VHM (-1.06%), VRE (+0.18%), VPI (+0.16%), PDR (+0.34%), and DXG (+0.4%) declined.

At the close of the morning trading session on June 30th, the VN-Index increased by 3.55 points to 1,858.52 points (+0.19%) compared to the previous session. Meanwhile, the UPCoM-Index decreased by 129.3 points (-0.02%), equivalent to 0.12 points, and the HNX-Index decreased by 315.03 points (-0.93%), equivalent to 2.96 points.

Market liquidity reached VND 7,166.15 billion, with 265,000 shares traded. Across the sector, 147 stocks increased, 134 decreased, and 67 fell to their reference price.

According to experts at AIS Securities Company, the VN-Index recorded a correction at the beginning of the week, losing the technical support level of the 50-day moving average.

While Vingroup's group of stocks exerted significant pressure on the index, the market still received relatively good support from the Energy and Banking sectors.

Nevertheless, green remains the dominant color across the board, indicating that capital is tending to spread evenly rather than being concentrated in just a few individual stocks.

If the VN-Index fails to regain the 1,855 - 1,860 point range (50-day moving average) soon, it risks continuing to fall further to the 1,830 point support zone (around the 20-day moving average) to seek new buying pressure.

Investors should take advantage of rallies to restructure their portfolios, prioritizing holdings of stocks in the Banking and Securities sectors that are attracting capital inflows. At the same time, they should sell off stocks with negative price performance.

According to experts at Asean Securities Company, the VN-Index closed at 1,855 points, remaining above the MA10 and MA20 lines, while market breadth leaned towards green as the number of rising stocks predominated, indicating that capital is still present and continues to be diversified into groups of stocks with unique stories.

With RSI and MFI anchored in the neutral zone, the market is likely to continue fluctuating within a narrow range at the beginning of the next session, but the risk of a sharp decline is not too great if the support zone of 1,850 - 1,860 points continues to hold.

Short-term investors can maintain an average portfolio allocation, avoid chasing rallies, and prioritize trading within the support zone of 1,850 - 1,860 points and the resistance zone of 1,870 - 1,880 points. Capital should be focused on stock groups with specific catalysts such as state divestment, market upgrades, and economic development resolutions.

For medium- and long-term investors, corrections to support levels can still be seen as opportunities to partially disburse funds into sectors with strong fundamentals and high liquidity, such as Banking, Securities, Retail, and Public Investment.
