Amidst declining liquidity and a highly polarized market, PNJ shares continue to be a bright spot, maintaining a gain of approximately 6%.

At the opening of the trading session on August 4th, the market's upward momentum showed signs of slowing down as the VN-Index approached the resistance zone around 1,770 points, corresponding to the MA200 line.

After more than an hour of trading, the index fluctuated within a narrow range before buying pressure improved again, helping the VN-Index rise by more than 10 points.

Investors' cautious sentiment, observing the index's reaction at a key resistance level, led to a decrease in liquidity compared to the beginning of the session, creating a clear divergence on the trading board. Many sectors also gradually cooled down, while only a few small-cap stocks such as HII, TSC, and FIT maintained their upward momentum, hitting the ceiling price.

PNJ was a bright spot, with its stock continuing to extend its gains to approximately 6%. Trading volume reached over 3.7 million units, indicating that capital remains strongly concentrated in this stock.

In the real estate sector, VIC (+2.58%), VHM (+2.97%), VRE (+2.38%), PDR (+2.54%) and VPI (+0.46%) all performed well.

The banking sector showed divergence, with MBB (+0.83%), HDB (+1.15%), STB (+1.54%), SHB (-1.58%), TCB (-1.17%), and VPB (-0.2%). Similarly, the industrial goods and services sector also saw divergence, with GEX (-0.21%), VSC (+1.06%), GMD (-0.91%), PVT (-1.08%), VTP (-0.31%), and HAH (-0.22%).

The red color was mixed with red, including VIX (-0.37%), SSI (-1.02%), VND (-0.3%), SHS (-0.64%), and TCX (-1.96%).

At the close of this morning's trading session, the VN-Index rose 6.2 points to 1,769.04 points (+0.35%) compared to the previous session. Similarly, the HNX-Index increased by 286.37 points (+2.54%), equivalent to 7.09 points, and the UPCoM-Index increased by 127.24 points (+0.45%), equivalent to 0.57 points.

Market liquidity reached VND 7,718.4 billion, with 298,000 shares traded. Across the sector, 132 stocks increased, 152 decreased, and 64 fell to their reference price.

According to experts at AIS Securities Company, the VN-Index made an impressive breakthrough with a 1.56% increase, surpassing the 1,750-point mark. The main support came from the banking, securities, and technology sectors. Conversely, no sector experienced significant downward pressure.

Foreign investors returned to strong net buying, focusing mainly on leading stocks such as FPT, HPG, and VCB, showing increasingly positive signs.

The market is expected to test the key resistance zone of 1,770 - 1,810 points (equivalent to the 200-day and 20-week moving averages). The VN-Index's reaction in this area will be a crucial factor determining the sustainability of the current recovery.

Investors should avoid chasing prices here and prioritize holding stocks that are attracting strong capital inflows.
