Con Cuong holds by-election for a new Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 15th, the 20th term of the Con Cuong District People's Council, 2021-2026, held its 15th session to elect an additional Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term and discuss several other important issues.
Attending the meeting were representatives from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; several provincial departments and agencies; and delegates of the Con Cuong District People's Council, 20th term, 2021-2026.
At the meeting, the Con Cuong District People's Council conducted the process of electing an additional Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
As a result, with a high number of votes of confidence, Comrade Pham Trong Binh - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department of Con Cuong District - was elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Cuong District for the term 2021-2026.
Comrade Pham Trong Binh, born in 1977, holds a Master's degree in Law and a Senior Certificate in Political Theory. Comrade Pham Trong Binh has previously held positions such as Chairman of the People's Committee of Luc Da Commune and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Cuong District.
Also at this session, the Con Cuong District People's Council discussed, contributed opinions, and considered and approved important proposals such as: the proposal on the allocation of the local budget for 2024 (phase 1); the proposal on the plan for allocating and using increased revenue and savings from the district-level budget in 2023; the proposal to approve the project requesting recognition of the expanded Con Cuong town as a type V urban area; approval of the reports on the verification of the proposals and draft resolutions; and approval of the resolutions of the session.
