Ke Me Bridge, one of the two bridges on the Mau Duc - Thach Ngan route, has just finished laying the girders. The rainy season is coming, this temporary road section is very susceptible to being washed away by floodwaters, which will greatly affect the construction progress and people's travel. In 2010, the State invested in the Mau Duc - Thach Ngan traffic project of Con Cuong district with a total investment of 52 billion VND. The project includes 9 km of road and 2 permanent bridges.
However, after 9 years of implementation, the project is still unfinished, only the road part is basically completed. The 2 bridges have just been launched.
Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Con Cuong District Project Board said: The Mau Duc - Thach Ngan traffic project officially started in 2010, but was stalled for many years, so in 2017 the province restarted the project and extended it to June 2019. However, to date, the construction unit has only completed more than 7 km of road; there are still 2 bridges and more than 1 km of road that have not been completed.

Currently, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district is urging the enterprise to urgently complete the 2 bridges in November 2019 and complete the remaining 1 km of road. Also according to the People's Committee of the district, up to now, the project has only disbursed 30/52 billion VND of the total investment capital.
The extension of the construction time of the above-mentioned road project has affected people's travel for many years, especially in the upcoming flood season, the temporary road to avoid the bridge under construction will be washed away by flood water, making it impossible for vehicles to pass.
