The 12-year-old daughter of artist Thuong Tin returned home to attend her father's funeral.
Artist Thuong Tin's daughter Thach Thao and son Thanh Tung are joining family members in organizing his funeral at his private residence in Phan Rang following his sudden death.
The son and daughter are handling the funeral arrangements.
According to musician Tô Hiếu, the 12-year-old daughter of artist Thương Tín, Thạch Thảo, was brought back to Phan Rang by her mother in the early morning of December 9th to attend her father's funeral. The late artist's eldest son, Thanh Tùng, also returned home from Ho Chi Minh City the night before.
Currently, the two brothers and their family members are working together to prepare for the funeral and receive guests at their home.

The family has officially announced that the embalming ceremony for artist Thuong Tin will take place at 8:00 AM on December 9th. The funeral procession will be held at 3:00 PM on December 10th, after which the coffin will be taken for burial at the local cemetery.
sudden passing
Artist Thuong Tin passed away at noon on December 8th at his mother's home in Phan Rang. His death was reportedly sudden, leaving him no time to give final instructions to his loved ones or to see his children one last time.
Earlier, at the end of 2024, he was taken to the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital for examination. His health condition was diagnosed as severe left knee arthritis and an irreparable fracture of the right patella. Afterward, his family decided to bring him back to his hometown so that his siblings could take turns caring for him.

In Phan Rang, he lives with his 90-year-old mother. His younger brother also moved back to their hometown to take care of their elderly mother and older brother, despite the family's difficult economic circumstances.
A life of ups and downs
Born in Phan Rang in 1956, Thuong Tin is one of the leading stars of Vietnamese theater and film for many decades. He began his artistic career at the age of 13 and has left a deep impression on audiences with over 200 film roles and 100 stage roles.
Classic works associated with his name include "The Cards Are Stacked Against You," "Saigon Commando," "SBC," and "The Battlefield Divided by a Half Moon."
Despite once being at the peak of his fame, the final years of artist Thuong Tin's life were quite lonely and difficult. After separating from his ex-wife at the end of 2024 due to conflicts, he lost contact with and was unable to see his daughter. According to his own account, he lived with remorse and longing for his daughter until the end of his life.
