Duterte's daughter will run for President of the Philippines.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte announced that his daughter, Sara Duterte-Carpio, will run for president in 2022 alongside his running mate, Senator Bong Go.
According to ABS-CBN, Senator Bong Go is a longtime friend of President Duterte and has submitted his candidacy.

Sara is currently the mayor of Davao, the third-largest city in the Philippines. On October 2nd, the politician also submitted her application for re-election to the position.
ABS-CBN revealed that it obtained this information from an interview with a journalist.President DuterteShortly after he announced his retirement from politics and his partnership with Senator Christopher Bong Go.
When asked, "Is it really the Sara-Go alliance?", the Philippine leader replied, "Yes, it is Sara-Go."
When asked to confirm what the President had said, President Duterte-Carpio's spokesperson replied: "I only learned about this from local news reports. We do not comment on such matters."
Reuters reported that Senator Go has not responded to Reuters' request for comment.
