Trump's daughter speaks with the president of Argentina.

Argentinian President Mauricio Macri spoke with Ivanka Trump when he called her father to congratulate him on his election victory.

"During the call, I also spoke with his daughter," Marci recounted his November 14 phone call with President-elect Donald Trump in an interview published yesterday by Asahi Shimbun. "I've known her since she was a baby."

Macri's spokesperson also said that he "spoke to Ivanka just to say hello because he has known her since she was a child."

Ivanka has stated that she will remain in New York to continue her business and will not participate in the administration of President-elect Donald Trump. However, she is currently a member of Trump's transition team.

Last week, Ivanka was also present at the meeting between Mr. Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. This has raised suspicions that she will play a significant role in the administration.

President Marci, who has known Trump for many years, believes the Republican Party will bring strong leadership to the White House.

"He is bold and combative. He has his own views and will try to push them," the Argentine leader said. "Trump won the election while turning many people into his enemies. That shows his exceptional ability and understanding."

Marci and Trump first met through the Argentinian leader's father, who had sold a real estate project to Trump in the 1980s. There are reports that the US president-elect used a congratulatory phone call from Marci to seek support for a construction project in Buenos Aires.

The $100 million project is expected to create a 35-story office building, with construction beginning in June 2017 and awaiting approval from the Argentine government.

However, Macri's spokesperson denied that the two sides had discussed this issue during the phone call.
