Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart is the son ofRevolutionary leader Fidel Castro, passed away on November 26, 2016 at the age of 90.
According to Cuba's Granma newspaper, Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart was initially treated in hospital and then continued to receive outpatient treatment during his reintegration into society.
Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart was an atomic physicist who studied in the former Soviet Union. At the time of his death, he was a scientific advisor to the Cuban Council of State and vice president of the Cuban Academy of Sciences.
