(Baonghean.vn) - With 29.25 points in block A in the National High School Exam, Bui Van Bao - a 12th grade student of T1, Do Luong 1 High School is at the top of the list of candidates admitted to the Logistics Academy in 2017.

Since the exam results were known, especially when the Logistics Academy announced the list of successful candidates, Bao and her mother's house next to Luong market (Hamlet 6, Dong Son commune, Do Luong district) seemed to be more crowded, because many brothers, friends, and neighbors came to congratulate.

Bao is a special student at Do Luong 1 High School. His father was a martyr who died while protecting the forest, and his mother is a retired primary school teacher. When his father died, his mother fell ill with grief. When she was in 8th grade, her mother got cancer and had to have surgery. To this day, she still has to go to Hanoi every 3 months for treatment.

Despite his family’s circumstances, Bao always strived to excel in his studies. In third grade, he touched many people with his poem “Dad!” posted on the Vietnam Forestry news site with lines like:“Before my father's soul, I promise/To study to become famous/To follow in my father's footsteps and take care of the green forest/For the mountains and forests to be forever green”.

From primary school to high school, Bao has won many admirable achievements: Second Prize in the Provincial Online Math Competition (grade 5), Excellent Student of the District (grades 6, 7, 8), Second Prize in the Provincial Online English Competition (grade 8), Encouragement Prize, Second Prize in the Open Math Olympiad - Hanoi (grades 8, 10), Second Prize in the Provincial Excellent Student in Math (grades 9, 11).

In particular, in the 12th grade, in the mock exams, he always topped the school, in the National High School Exam he achieved 29.25 points (Math: 10, Physics: 9.5, Chemistry: 9.75). Bao was not very satisfied with this score, because "he was subjective and got some easy questions wrong". For Bao, to study and pass the exam with high results, in addition to going to class and paying attention to the teacher's lectures, he needs to study the textbooks carefully at home, arrange his study time reasonably, and prioritize the subjects he is "weakest" in...

Bao's childhood dream was to grow up to be a police officer, but in the middle of his 12th grade year, the Ministry of Public Security changed the exam group, so Bao chose to go to another school. Although many relatives convinced him to apply to the Polytechnic University, believing that "technology engineers will have a bright future", Bao still insisted on enrolling in the Logistics Academy. "If I can't get into the Police School, I will go to the Military School. I like schools in the armed forces," Bao shared.

Based on the admission list just announced by the Logistics Academy, with a score of 29.25 (excluding 3 priority points), Bao was the valedictorian of the school. Bao's wish to study at a military school has come true. It is known that in the 2017 admission season, more than 2,000 applications were submitted to the Logistics Academy with a standard score of 26.25, of which 484 candidates were admitted.

Bao is 1m78 tall, weighs 82kg, is a big football fan, and is a die-hard Real Madrid fan. During the last exam season, even though he was busy studying, he still arranged to play football every afternoon, and every night, if there was a Real Madrid match, he would stay up to watch it.

Bao said: "Besides studying, football is my second passion, it helps me relax after stressful study hours and improves my physical strength to study better."

Talking about her son, Mrs. Tran Thi Hai - Bao's mother, could not hide her pride: "Bao is a good child, who has become independent early. The family is very excited about the results he achieved in the recent exam, especially being the valedictorian of the Logistics Academy. However, that is only the first success, there are many challenges ahead that he needs to try harder for."

Mr. Nguyen Cong Son - Head teacher of class 12 T1 commented: "Bao is an exemplary class monitor, enthusiastic about the collective movement. He has been honored to be in the ranks of the Party. With his intelligent and progressive nature, I hope Bao will continue to achieve many new achievements in his studies."
