People's Artist Hong Van's son: Deputy Director at the age of 28
Khoi Nguyen, son of People's Artist Hong Van, just celebrated his 28th birthday. He is currently the Deputy Director of his mother's theater after graduating with a degree in cinema in the US.
On the occasion of the 28th birthday of Khoi Nguyen's son, People's Artist Hong Van shared a new photo album of him along with congratulations. Khoi Nguyen, also known as Tre Phi, is currently the Deputy Director at Hong Van Drama Theater, receiving much attention from the public and colleagues.
Journey from the US to Vietnam
Khoi Nguyen was born in 1997, is 1m83 tall and has a bright appearance. He studied in the US for a long time, graduated with a major in film production at Fullerton College, California, then continued to study directing at the College of Cinematic Arts at Chapman University.
During his time in the US, Khoi Nguyen made his mark with short films.Nostalgia(2021). This work was honored in two categories "Best Picture" and "Best Debut Short Film Director" at the Los Angeles Film Awards in April 2021.
After completing his studies, Khoi Nguyen decided to return to Vietnam to support his family business. He took on the position of Deputy Director at Hong Van Drama Theater, directly participating in the operations. According to People's Artist Hong Van's representative, Khoi Nguyen worked as an official employee, was paid and enjoyed the same benefits as everyone else at the theater, without any special favors.
Close relationship with stepfather Le Tuan Anh
Khoi Nguyen's growth and success are greatly contributed by his stepfather, actor Le Tuan Anh. People's Artist Hong Van shared that her husband was both a friend and a mentor to Khoi Nguyen from the time he was in the US until he returned home. Le Tuan Anh was the one who had a great influence on Khoi Nguyen's direction in pursuing the film industry.
"He and Khoi Nguyen often talk to each other about cinema. Tuan Anh's father is both a friend and a teacher, his knowledge and relationships in this field are much better than mine. He doesn't show his face, he just stands behind and silently helps," said People's Artist Hong Van.
For his part, Khoi Nguyen always has special respect and affection for his stepfather, calling him "Buddha". He shared that he also learned his simple lifestyle from him. "When I like something or want to ask for something, I will go to my father because he is like a Buddha", Khoi Nguyen once confided.
The perfect home of Hong Van - Le Tuan Anh
In addition to Khoi Nguyen and his eldest daughter Hoang Chau (Xi Ngau), People's Artist Hong Van and actor Le Tuan Anh also have a child together, Ngoc Chau (Bi Ngo, born in 2007). The artist family always shows their closeness and love for each other.
In middle age, People's Artist Hong Van said that her and her husband's life is quite simple. When they don't have a show schedule, they take care of the house, plants and pets together, enjoying peaceful moments with their family.
