Son of People's Artist Hong Van: Deputy Director at the age of 28
Khoi Nguyen, son of People's Artist Hong Van, recently celebrated his 28th birthday. He currently holds the position of Deputy Director of his mother's theater group after graduating in film studies in the United States.
On the occasion of her son Khoi Nguyen's 28th birthday, People's Artist Hong Van shared a new set of photos of him along with birthday wishes. Khoi Nguyen, also known as Tre Phi, currently serves as the Deputy Director at Hong Van Theatre and receives much attention from the public and his colleagues.
The journey from the US to Vietnam
Khoi Nguyen, born in 1997, is 1.83 meters tall and has a striking appearance. He spent a long time studying in the United States, graduating with a degree in film production from Fullerton College, California, and then continuing his studies in directing at the College of Cinematic Arts, Chapman University.
During his time in the US, Khoi Nguyen made his mark with short films.Nostalgia(2021). This work was honored in two categories: "Best Picture" and "Best Debut Short Film Director" at the Los Angeles Film Awards in April 2021.
After completing his studies, Khoi Nguyen decided to return to Vietnam to support his family's business. He took on the position of Deputy Director at Hong Van Theatre, directly involved in the management. According to a representative of People's Artist Hong Van, Khoi Nguyen works as a full-time employee, receiving a salary and benefits like everyone else at the theatre, without any special privileges.
A close relationship with stepfather Le Tuan Anh
Khoi Nguyen's growth and success owe a great deal to his stepfather, actor Le Tuan Anh. People's Artist Hong Van shared that her husband was both a friend and a mentor to Khoi Nguyen from his time in the US until his return to Vietnam. Le Tuan Anh was the one who had a major influence on Khoi Nguyen's decision to pursue a career in film.
"He and Khoi Nguyen often talked about filmmaking. Tuan Anh's father was both a friend and a mentor; his knowledge and connections in this field were far superior to mine. He didn't openly support me, always silently helping from behind the scenes," People's Artist Hong Van said.
For his part, Khoi Nguyen has always held his stepfather in high regard and held him in special affection, calling him "a guardian angel." He shared that his simple lifestyle was also learned from him. "Whenever I like something or want to ask for something, I'll go to my father because he's like a guardian angel," Khoi Nguyen once confided.
The blissful family life of Hong Van and Le Tuan Anh.
Besides Khoi Nguyen and their eldest daughter Hoang Chau (Xi Ngau), People's Artist Hong Van and actor Le Tuan Anh also have another child together, Ngoc Chau (Bi Ngo, born in 2007). The artist's family always shows their close bond and love for each other.
In her middle age, People's Artist Hong Van said that her and her husband's life is quite simple. When they don't have performances, they take care of the house, plants, and pets together, enjoying peaceful moments with their family.
