Police show how to distinguish fake vehicle documents

Police have pointed out a series of signs that can distinguish fake vehicle registration papers with the naked eye.

The Traffic Police Department (PC67), Hanoi City Police, said it has just organized a training course on distinguishing real and fake documents in the registration and management of road motor vehicles for traffic police and police in 30 districts.

Sophisticated tricks

In recent times, Hanoi City Police have continuously discovered cases of vehicles using fake license plates and papers. Most recently, the authorities discovered a group of people smuggling vehicles and colluding with domestic businesses to sell them.

Notably, these people took advantage of loopholes in the management of import and export of goods, colluding with competent officials to falsify documents and certificates of vehicle origin.

Or as before, the authorities of a province prosecuted four people who organized the collection of new light trucks and scooters from many sources but did not have vehicle registration papers. This group then created a file to legalize the vehicles and colluded with the officers of the province's PC67 department to register the license plates.

Colonel Le Xuan Duc, Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department (C67, Ministry of Public Security), commented: The methods of those who forge documents are increasingly sophisticated. Through monitoring, the police discovered a number of emerging methods such as erasing blurred marks, forging documents; modifying original vehicle documents, factory inspection certificates; forging registration fee documents; erasing chassis numbers, engine numbers, etc.

Accordingly, the real vehicle registration form has a protective thread that glows under SPOT light, while the fake vehicle registration form does not. The real vehicle registration form has a police badge that glows under UV light, while the fake vehicle registration form does not.
