Ky Son police arrest 'madam' who brokered prostitution involving nearly 60 people.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Criminal Investigation Agency of Ky Son District Police has issued a decision to temporarily detain Ms. Vi Thi Thanh (born in 1959, residing in Son Thanh village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district) on charges of "Brokering and harboring prostitution".
Earlier, at around 8 PM on November 23rd, at the private residence of Ms. Vi Thi Thanh, the Ky Son District Police caught two couples in the act: Luong Van Th (born in 1997, residing in Huoi Tho village, Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son) and Luong Van M (born in 1995, residing in Cu village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son) were engaging in prostitution with Chuong Thi M (born in 1988) and Luong Thi M (born in 1980), both residing in Son Thanh village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son.

At the police station, the suspects confessed to all their illegal activities. Accordingly, for each act of prostitution costing 200,000 VND, Ms. Thanh would receive 50,000 VND.

Reportedly, this is the second time Ms. Thanh has re-offended. Previously, in 2014, she was sentenced to 12 months of suspended imprisonment by the People's Court of Ky Son District for the same offense of brokering prostitution.
