Nghe An Police: Proactive, courageous, serving the people
In the country's journey of strong development, Nghe An - the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh - is striving to become a dynamic development center of the North Central region. In response to new requirements, Nghe An Provincial Police continue to promote its core role as a "steel shield" to maintain security and order, while pioneering in social security work, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Innovation, improving work efficiency
In the period of 2020 - 2025, the security and order situation in Nghe An is basically stable, people's lives are increasingly peaceful. However, there are still many challenges from traditional issues to high-tech crimes, transnational crimes, cyber security, drugs, and social evils.
In that situation, Nghe An Police demonstrated a strong political stance, a high sense of responsibility, flexibility and creativity in directing, operating and organizing the implementation of tasks. The Police force proactively grasped the situation at the grassroots level, forecasted early and from afar, prevented the formation of "hot spots" and complications, and ensured security to serve socio-economic development.
The provincial police have advised and effectively handled many "bottlenecks" in implementing key economic projects, ensuring absolute safety for political targets and events, and for delegations of Party and State leaders and international guests visiting and working in the locality.
The fight against crime has achieved many remarkable results: Crimes against social order decreased by 20.86% compared to the previous term; the rate of case discovery reached over 90%, in which many particularly serious cases were clarified. In particular, Nghe An Police resolutely deployed drug prevention and control work with the goal of "cleaning up the commune-level area".
Fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue work have been focused on, and many effective models have been replicated. Traffic accidents have decreased in all three criteria: number of cases, number of deaths, and number of injuries. The effective implementation of Project 06/CP of the Government has helped Nghe An to be at the top of the country many times in digital transformation and administrative reform.
In addition to the task of ensuring security and order, Nghe An Police also pioneers in community activities. In the period of 2020-2025, the force led the movement "Tet for the poor", supporting people affected by natural disasters, and other volunteer programs. Notably, it coordinated the construction of 3,553 houses for the poor, repaired more than 12,700 temporary and dilapidated houses, leaving a deep impression on the people.
Currently, the Provincial Police are implementing a 40-day and night peak campaign to build houses and schools for ethnic minorities, continuing to affirm the role of the armed forces "serving the people".
With outstanding achievements, Nghe An Police has received the Prime Minister's Emulation Flag for 10 consecutive years and in 2024 was awarded the noble title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" - a worthy reward for its loyalty, dedication and tireless dedication to the peaceful life of the People.

Strong security, sustainable development
The 20th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee set the goal that by 2030, the province will become a national growth pole, a regional center of the North Central region in industry, high-tech agriculture, education, health care, science and technology. By 2045, Nghe An will become a comprehensively developed, modern, high-income province.
In that process, ensuring national defense and security is the key foundation. The Congress requires thoroughly grasping the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies on building a national defense and people's security posture, taking "people's hearts" as the foundation. At the same time, closely combining economic, cultural and social development with ensuring national defense, security and expanding foreign relations.
Nghe An Public Security Forces promote their strategic advisory role, maintain political security, social order and safety; protect national borders and special areas; and effectively combat all types of crimes and social evils.
At the same time, it is necessary to firmly consolidate the people's hearts and minds, promote the movement of the entire people to protect national security, improve the quality of situational awareness, prevention, and readiness to respond to complex situations. In particular, the Provincial Police take the lead in digital transformation, applying modern technology to professional work.
The consistent goal is to build a clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern Nghe An police force to meet mission requirements in the new situation.
Comprehensive innovation, serving the people
In the spirit of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, the Nghe An Police force clearly identified the urgent need for comprehensive innovation, taking effective service to the people as the center of all activities. The Provincial Police built a specific, focused, key action program, suitable to the local situation and the new context of security and order.
The security and order situation in the coming period continues to have many complex underlying factors, with increasingly higher requirements. Nghe An Public Security Forces have determined the core objective to firmly protect national security, ensure social order and safety in all situations; and build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern force.
