Nghe An police have uncovered a case of transporting firecrackers using a new method.

On the afternoon of November 5, 2018, in the An Duong Vuong street area, Truong Thi ward, Vinh City, the Economic Police Department of Nghe An province discovered a case of transporting fireworks via delivery.

Accordingly, at 1:45 PM, authorities discovered an employee of a delivery company in Vinh City delivering a large package with several suspicious signs in the An Duong Vuong street area, Truong Thi ward.

During a quick inspection, authorities discovered nine carefully packaged firecrackers with foreign lettering inside the package. Authorities seized the items and brought the person involved to the police station for questioning. At the police station, the delivery driver stated that the package was received and delivered to the address written on it. The driver had contacted the recipient by phone.

Reportedly, this is one of the newly discovered tactics used by fireworks criminals to evade detection by authorities. The case is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
