Nghe An police dismantled a gambling ring operating in the forest, with many members having previous criminal records.
Despite frequently changing locations and employing strict security measures, the gambling ring operating in the forest, comprised of many individuals with criminal records, could not evade the notice of the Nghe An Provincial Police.
As of May 21, 2025, in connection with a gambling ring operating in the forest in Tan Ky district, Nghe An province, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police has arrested and detained 17 individuals for investigation and clarification of their involvement in the illegal activities.Gambling organization" and "Gambling".

Through intelligence gathering, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police discovered a large-scale, mobile gambling ring operating with sophisticated and professional methods, led by Nguyen Nhuan Danh (born in 1986), residing in Nghia Dong commune, Tan Ky district. (Danh had previously been arrested for "illegal detention" during his overseas labor export). To fund his activities, Danh collaborated with two other individuals residing in the same Nghia Dong commune, Vo Duy Bay (born in 1970) and Vo Duy Hai (born in 1996), to set up a gambling den and organize gambling.
Notably, many members of Danh's gambling ring had multiple prior convictions, including some who had up to five convictions for gambling offenses, such as Nguyen Hai Sang (born in 1976), residing in Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province; and Dinh Quoc Khanh (born in 1979), residing in Quy Hop district.
After establishing a closed gambling ring with his "trusted associates," Nguyen Nhuan Danh organized gambling sessions for participants according to his own rules, which all gamblers had to comply with.

Accordingly, when gamblers wanted to play, they all had to park their vehicles at a designated location. Danh would then require the players to hand over their phones, and his accomplices would take the "gamblers" around to various places to avoid detection by the police.
For first-time participants, Danh required a guarantee from a previous gambler. Furthermore, this group frequently changed their phone numbers, means of transportation, and gambling locations, operating primarily in remote, mountainous areas far from populated areas, with each gambling session lasting only 1.5 to 2 hours.
Despite operating for only a short time, Danh's gambling den, due to its discreet and sophisticated organization, attracted dozens of gamblers from the districts of Quy Hop, Dien Chau, Con Cuong, and Vinh City.
After a period of surveillance, under the direction of the Provincial Police leadership, on May 13, 2025, in the rubber forest area of Duc Thinh hamlet, Tan Phu commune, Tan Ky district, the Criminal Police Department, in coordination with the police of Nghia Hop, Nghia Dung, Nghia Phuc, Dong Van, Tan Phu communes (Tan Ky district), Cao Son, Khai Son, Lang Son, Tuong Son communes (Anh Son district), arrested dozens of individuals who were gambling using the dice-shaking method.

At the scene, the police seized a set of dice-shaking equipment, nearly 300 million VND in cash, 3 mobile phones, a car, and other related evidence from the gambling table.
At the police station, all the suspects admitted to their crimes. The case is currently being investigated by the Criminal Police Department, which is consolidating the file for processing according to regulations.
