Notably, many members of the aforementioned gang have prior convictions for various crimes, such as: Tran Thi Chau (born in 1971), residing in Que Phong commune (with 3 prior convictions for "Illegal trafficking of narcotics" and "Gambling"); Luong Ba Hieu (born in 1964), residing in Thong Thu commune (with 2 prior convictions for "Gambling"); Vo Thi Lieu (born in 1960), residing in Que Phong commune (with 2 prior convictions for "Gambling"); Nguyen Thi Hang (born in 1979), residing in... The members of this gambling ring frequently changed their phone numbers, means of transportation, and gambling locations, primarily operating in remote, mountainous areas far from populated areas. Each gambling session lasted only 1.5 to 2 hours. Despite operating for a short time, the sophisticated and secretive nature of the operation attracted dozens of gamblers from various localities, negatively impacting local security and order, as well as causing public outrage.

After a period of surveillance, on the afternoon of November 23rd, in the acacia hill area of Dong Moi village, Thong Thu commune, the Criminal Police Department, in coordination with the Thong Thu Commune Police and Que Phong Commune Police, arrested several individuals gambling using the "xoc dia" (dice shaking) method. Taking advantage of the rugged mountainous terrain, some other suspects fled into the forest.
